The ILTI-Building Christian Leaders Course will be a second tier course for those who are preparing for the ministry as either lay or full-time leaders. In this course the student will learn all the academic and practical skills needed to become a leader.
The ILTI-Building Christian Leaders Course delves deeper into biblical studies than the ILTI-Foundations for Christian Living Course, and provides a solid base that enables the graduate to rightly divide the word of God. (2 Timothy 2:15) This course will also help develop Christian Character, so that the ministerial candidate will meet all the moral, and ethical requirements of Christian leaders as listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-13.
In addition to his academic studies, each student is expected to take active part in a supervised ministry during the tenure of the course. Each participant is to have a mentor assigned who is responsible for overseeing their progress. The mentor and their student are to meet together regularly (not less then once a month) to discuss and evaluate progress, define and set goals, or any other thing deemed necessary to help the participant develop his leadership skills.
Only licensed, I.L.T.I. certified teachers or institutes may teach the ILTI-Building Christian Leaders Course. If I.L.T.I. has certified a local pastor or teacher to teach this course, they may teach this course to qualified participants. If no one locally has received their I.L.T.I. teacher’s certification, students may apply to an I.L.T.I. affiliate institute to continue their studies.
